Connect a client
Connect Claude to OClever
Add OClever as a custom connector in Claude on the web and desktop, or as an MCP server in Claude Code.
Claude on the web and desktop
Custom connectors are available on Claude's paid plans. A connector added on the web also appears in Claude Desktop and the mobile apps.
- 1In Claude, open Settings → Connectors.
- 2Select Add custom connector. Name it
OCleverand paste the server URL below. Leave the advanced OAuth fields empty. - 3Select Add, then Connect. Sign in to OClever, choose workspaces and permissions, and select Allow.
- 4In a chat, open the tools menu and make sure OClever is switched on.
Server URLhttps://mcp.oclever.com/mcp
Claude asks before running a tool unless you allow it. Approve read tools freely; for write and coin tools, read the preview Claude shows you before letting it apply.
Claude Code
With OAuth sign-in
claude mcp add --transport http oclever https://mcp.oclever.com/mcp
Then run /mcp inside Claude Code, select oclever and choose Authenticate. Your browser opens the OClever consent screen.
With an access token
Create a personal access token, store it in an environment variable, and pass it as a header:
export OCLEVER_TOKEN=oc_pat_your_token_here claude mcp add --transport http oclever https://mcp.oclever.com/mcp \ --header "Authorization: Bearer $OCLEVER_TOKEN"
Add --scope user to use OClever in every project, or --scope project to share the server (not the token) with your team through .mcp.json:
.mcp.json{
"mcpServers": {
"oclever": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://mcp.oclever.com/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer ${OCLEVER_TOKEN}"
}
}
}
}Check it works
Ask: “Use OClever to tell me which workspaces you can see and our visibility for the last 4 weeks.” The assistant should call whoami or list_workspaces, then get_visibility_overview. If it does not, see Troubleshooting.
